Claire Williamson
Education Advocacy Chair
Claire is a passionate art educator and Austin native. She completed her BA in Communication from Saint Louis University, Madrid Campus, and also holds a MA in Art Education from the University of Texas at Austin, with a focus on Community-Based Art Education. After completing her master’s she relocated to Houston, TX to take on the position of Education Programs Coordinator at Society for the Performing Arts, the largest nonprofit performing arts presenting organization in the Southwest. In her role, she manages a variety of programs including a city-wide student art contest entering its 22nd year, in-school teaching artist residencies, and public and community programs. She is an avid reader and TV-watcher and a budding chef and gardener.
