Jeff Toler

Jeff Toler is a patent attorney with over 25 years of experience in technology and
related intellectual property matters representing corporate clients including many Fortune 500 companies and institutionally funded private companies. His expertise covers a wide range of intellectual property areas including: patent acquisition and monetization; patent brokering; patent preparation, prosecution, and portfolio development; IPRs; opinions; and IP related financing and other transactions. His practice fields include communications, computer hardware, software, storage, electronics, and medical devices.
Jeff Toler has significant experience in developing and implementing high-value patent strategies and is known for bringing sophistication and creativity to the challenges of IP strategy and patent monetization. Jeff Toler has a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering with Highest Distinction from Purdue University, a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Chicago at Loyola School of Law.
Jeff Toler was a Senior Law Journal Member for the University of Chicago at Loyola School of Law where he received the Loyola Merit Scholarship and was awarded the AmJur Award for Intellectual Property, Contracts, and Law & Economics. Jeff Toler enjoys serving on the Board for SWAN as an Angel Investor passionate about social impact and technology and is a member of CTAN and IAM300.
