Catherine Lucchesi

Impact and Innovation Chair

Catherine has always had a passion for connecting communities, creating movements, and engaging new demographics through ideas. Originally from Chicago, Catherine came to Texas after eight years in New York City. After graduating from NYU with a degree in art history, creative writing, and business, she joined the New Museum immediately following a major rebrand. Catherine was part of the team that developed the museum’s connection to its new neighborhood, corporate members and event series. During her time there, she built strategic partnerships with brands like                W Magazine, MAC Cosmetics, Redbull and LVMH.

Catherine moved to Austin in 2013 with a desire to help establish a community and be part of a young nonprofit organization. As the Director of Communications and Programming at I Live Here I Give Here, Catherine organized citywide programs serving over 110,000 people, raised over $57 million for the Austin community, built models for impact and produced viral content.

She is currently pursuing an MBA full-time at University of Texas’ McCombs School of Business. A goal-oriented connector of diverse leaders and a talented storyteller that does not shy away from a challenge, Catherine is working to ensure that every person has the opportunity to feel the joy of following their dreams. Catherine believes that we can change the outcomes for society by using the tools that the business sector has perfected to drive social impact.

Outside of the classroom, she is a Young Patron of Yellowstone Forever, chair of Austin Speech Labs One Word At A Time committee and supporter of local arts organizations The Contemporary and Big Medium.
