Bob Bridge, PhD,  is Founder and Executive Director of the Southwest Angel Network, which supports social-impact startups and is very welcoming to diverse management teams. He is recognized nationally as a leader in social-impact angel investing.

 

Bob has extensive experience in founding and taking early-stage technology start-up companies to successful exits, and now applies that experience  to advising social-impact start-ups. He mentors at the numerous Austin social-impact accelerators and is an occasional guest lecturer on social-impact at the University of Texas.

 

Bob worked in high-tech start-ups companies for 30 years, the last 15 years as the founding CEO, and has raised $60M from angel networks, venture capitalists and government agencies. He has also served as an entrepreneur-in-residence at Austin Ventures. Bob has a PhD from the University of Texas in Electrical and Computer Engineering and attended Rice University as an undergraduate.
